Hi, I'm Michael Ruhlman welcome to the new version of my site—still under construction but all the search and link functions work.

I've spent much of the past 20 years in professional kitchens, and believe that the world is a better place when we cook and share our own food with the people we love.

I am devoted to the fundamentals of cooking and culinary technique, which makes all recipes, all cooking, easier and more fun. I specialize in making great, restaurant quality dishes for the home kitchen.
