Photo Composition: Control Direction of Images

The photo on the right was chosen over the photo on the left because it's more pleasing to look at. Why? That one chip I've marked keeps the viewers eye in the photo as opposed to that marked chip on the right that leads the eye out of the frame.

It would be hard to go wrong photographing a subject like this. But even great color and texture can be less than successful if the composition isn't all it can be.

Happy shooting!

    Beautiful photo!
I'd like to set up an RSS feed for the photography blog, but I already have one setup for the main blog and Google Reader doesn't seem to want to let me set up another one with the same base URL. Do you know of any way around this?

Donna, you can't begin to know the influence you have had on me when it comes to picture taking now. Especially food but not exclusively. My mind always goes to what would make something in this picture catch the viewers eye...and lighting. However I am thinking of selling my first born for a high powered lens and camera to match.

Is there anyway to RSS just your blog separately?
